I am unsure of the availability in Canada, as well as the safety precautions. how often would in need to administer, and in what format?

May I ask what you are considering using it for? There are many uses such as labor induction to post partum bleeding and depending on what you use it for the dosing changes.
There are a wide variety of side effects and precautions as well. Some peopel can have an allergic reaction, increase in postpartum bleeding (even though it can be used for it). If you search ocytocin on drug.com it gives a pretty good summary everything else needs to be discussed with the MD.
