i am currently taking vistaril 2(25 mg) at night. is this safe? does anyone have any reccomendations on something to try? I have tried ambien and it does not work. thanks in advance

Bobby, in response to your question as to whether or not it safe for you take the vistaril at night, I'd ask you whether or not they were prescribed to you; if not, then you shouldn't be taking them. Hydroxyzine (vistaril) is used mainly for anxiety. If you need something to help you sleep and ambien doesn't work for you, then you should talk with your doctor about other sleep medications such as Lunesta, Rozerem, or Restoril. Hope this helps.
