I am diabetic could zestril be use to protect my kidneys?

Yes. Zestril is in a class of drugs called ACE inhibitors.
ACE inhibitors are often given to patients who have high blood-pressure and type ll diabetes with diabetic kidney disease.
ACE inhibitors lower blood pressure and help to protect the kidneys. (kidney damage is often a complication of diabetes)

I take one tablet of Hydroc. in the morning 25mg fot about a year also take Zestril at night 40mg Both for high Blood Pressure
