I started the Thomas method with Librium and I've added muscle relaxers. This is my 3rd day and I've been cutting back in the Librium. It's a son of a bitch. I've used pain pills when I was youger just a day or week or two at a time. Which made them much easier to quit.
I'm going to start the L-Tyrosine and B-6 tomorrow morning. Anyone have any suggestions to make this go smoother?
I am a 6 year Oxycodone user. I'm 37 years old. I have been on 6 10/650 daily. I have not missed 1?

Day 5 and time couldn't be moving slower. Most of the withdrawls have eased up a bit. Took my last Librium last night. Just taking vitamens and the occasional muscle relaxer. Been trying to keep busy cleaning house and doing anything to keep my mind busy. I think the worst of the wd are behind me but now I gotta fight the addiction. Thanks for your help.

Hey P2theG,
As long as you continue the cold turkey you will have the withdraw symptoms. The only way to avoid them is to taper of the oxycodone rather than stop aburptly. You were on the oxy for a long time and this is going to be a bitch to put it bluntly anyway you approach it. You sound like you are doing everything you can to treat the withdraw symptoms if you are following the Thomas recipe. I wish I could help you further. If you find that you just can't tolerate the withdraws then you can always taper off the oxy or go the route of taking Suboxone to detox from opiates.
We are here for you and support your desire and will to get off the oxycodone. You can do this!! Keep us posted,
Laurie

are you having the muscle spasams or resless legs? if so I think I remember reading the Thomas recipe and it tell you to get in the shower as much as you need to or the bath tub that it makes a big difference. I am sorry that I am not of more help I have a feeling that Laurie Shay or one of the other will also see this and add more suggestions, I am also in hopes that once you start the supplements that they will make things improve for you. I wish you the very best
