rumphie... depot i turned it down because he said caused mood swings. was put on low dose bc. lots of pain he suggest lupron again because i want to keep my other ovary i agree. i read up and saw things i dont like i called 11-7 to let the doc know ichanged my mind. lupron has allready been delivered he wants to speak together thursday 11-10. I also have heart condition-mitral valve prolapse and tricuspid regergitation also venous angioma on the right side of the brain. Is this drug as bad as i had read? How long after the drug do side effects last if you have any. How drastic are moodswings and weight gain? Has anyone experienced loss of vision or inpairment of vision?

I was given the shot Lupron 20yrs ago and it didn't work one bit for me. I was diagnosed with endometriosis (how ever you spell it) when I was 22(now 43) and I was given Lupron shots for 6 months and I turned into a witch and the weigh gain was off the charts. I begged my doctor to stop and try something else. Well I ended up having a hysterectomy at 23. I don't think Lupron is worth what you have to go thru. The shot it's self is white and thick and hurts like crazy. But it's had to work for some people other wise it wouldn't be on the market anymore. Good Luck

Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate it, I felt i wanted to hear from someone. my husband and i read info on computer re; this drug. they were black boxed had all kinds of issues sued fore billions of dollars on criminal charges. But, it seems they have alot of money to lobby and keep pushing what they say helps. Doctors even get incintives for prescribing this med.

I am kind of curious what you and the doctor decided on. Not trying to be nosy and you don't have to answer but I would like to know what other options he offered. I wasn't offered anything else but a hysterectomy.
