I thought the sore throat was from thrush, reason for nystatin, as it went away on start of medication and now
has returned.
I, also, have copd use nystatin and have sore throat?

Are you still taking the nystatin? If not you may need longer treatment to ensure you get rid of the fungal infection - they can be rather stubborn!
You may need to see your doctor for a proper diagnosis.
If you are using a steroid inhaler be sure to rinse your mouth with water after each dose.
