no need to worry it doesnt metabolise into morphine, codeine, or diacetylmorphine (heroin) which are the only opiates tested for in the standard drug test (NIDA5) which is what most people, especially on probation or parole get... unless you were put on probation for abusing vicodin for example, or they know you do. then you will be given either a test to test just for hydrocodone (vicodin) or both.

If your being very cautious and wont believe the above advice, drugs and their metabolites take different amounts of time to be eliminated from your system. Depends on metabolism speed and the number of enzymes that are responsible for breaking down the drug your worried about showing up on the test, your weight/height, and amount took.

in this situation it can vary from 2-6 days unless you have an extraodinarily (abnormal) high or low metabolism speed/enzyme count, or have been taken ridiculously small or high amounts.
