I know this is a pain med.; but I am just curious about what's in this medication that gives me such a sense of vigor, renewal, inner strength. A kind of psychological lift ?

oxyaaron makes an excellent point, it is the opiate in this med that makes you feel so "great" for a while, yet if you keep taking them they will rob you of your soul, I've been there. Getting off of them is like a living hell. So if ye never become addicted you will never have to go through the hell that is withdrawal. I was prescribed the stuff and never once abused it.
Addiction is a slippery slope and no one is immune to it.

Thanks guys, i been down lately trying to get back up and get off the opiates. i hate them but i also love them in a way. wish i would have never seen a painkiller.

I also wish I'd never taken an opiate, yet I would not be the person I am today without going through that hell. I am so very happy after going through that BS! Never thought I'd say that, but 'tis true. One day you'll feel the same way.
