Hello,Berry! How is your day? The med's you are taking for your stomach are taken as a buffer for the other med's you take! In other word's the other med's have a tendency to cause acid to build up,eventually if not taken care of this acid can burn your esophogus(spelled wrong),and can also cause a condition known as Barrets Syndrome,that is deadly.I am on alot of med's also,I take omperozole for the acid reflux.Ulcer's are another reason Berry,you can have one and not even know it.Bleeding can happen as well.Your Doctor was so correct in putting you on this Medication,so please take as prescribed and don't worry,as all studies have shown that this med has no long term effects on the body.Good luck to you,and have a great day..
