the site says that i should take yasmin from the first day of my periods and my doc says i should take from the third day and the pharmacist says fron the 2nd day and so on.SO WHOSE ADVICE SHOULD I REALLY TAKE ? and secondly since im breast feeding my periods are iregular.if so, if i gt periods aftr 2 months n then i take yasmin again wil b affective fo the last two mnths ?

In general, combined oral contraceptives (including Yasmin) are not recommended for breastfeeding women mainly because they can decrease the production and quality of breast milk . Progestin-only oral contraceptives (also known as "mini-pills") are usually recommended.
Are you intending to stop breastfeeding? If you are then it is probably ok to take Yasmin.
That aside, in answer to your question it does not really matter when you start your pills. I would start whenever it suits you but if is not on the first day of your period then you will need to wait until you have taken 7 tablets before you are protected from pregnancy.(If you started on the first day of your period then you would have immediate protection)
