Hey joey,
You are correct in that you need to taper off the percocet. How many are you use to taking per day? I would cut out a half to one pill a day every week. In other words, if you are use to taking six a day cut to 5 or 5 and half a day for one week, then reduce to 4 pills a day for one week, then 3 a day for one week etc. If you notice any withdrawals return to the previous dose and take an additional few days before reducing again. It really is that easy.
I don't know how many pills you have left but if you want to go a little faster, like reducing every 5 days, you can so you won't possibly have to get another prescription filled.
Best wishes,
Laurie

thanks so much for you prompt answer and good advise. Now that I know what I should have done, I have a followup question. I was sick for 2 days, stomach issues, and didn't take any pills. so have suffered withdrawal symptoms (severe headache, cold sweats, diarrhea). now that my stomach issues have somewhat resolved, I've started taking the pills, one every two hours to get some back in my system. The withdrawal symptoms seems to be lessening. I was thinking to get up to 4 a day for a few days then start gradually decreasing. Do you have any further advise?
Hey joey,
Yes, it sounds like you were experiencing withdrawals from the percocet. Try to take it every 4 to 6 hours and no more than 4 a day for the next week. Then reduce by one pill a day for a week, then another pill a day for a week, etc. Make sense? Do you have enough to go that slow?

Thanks Laurie, You've been extremely helpful!!! I do have enough pills left.
Excellent and good luck, if you have any problems please re post.
Just a little comment, drink a lot of water i mean a LOT, it helps flush out the drug faster, the more you pee (hehehehe) the better, and take it slow if you can don't rush it, your body will be happier for it.
