I had a series of 5 Hyalgan shots 1.5 years ago and 7 months ago. Spectacular results, starting to have pain again. How many times can I have the treatments?

For those not familiar with Hyalgan, it was explained to me that it is similar to chicken combs and augments whatever is in the knee to cushion impacts.

after having 4 fractures in my back this is something very new to me if it is a steroid inections then there is so much time inbetween and I can't recall the time frame I am so sorry I am not of help to you I guess this is going to be a learning experience for both of us I wish you only the very best

The benefits of Hyalgan typically last for around 6 months.
The series of shots has been safely repeated in clinical studies for up to 30 months.

My orthopedic dr says there is no limit, as long as they are helping. I've had them every 6-7 months for the past 6 1/2 years and she just told me this two months ago. I get 5 shots each time, one week apart, then go six months from the end of that month (insurance reasons).

Thanks for reminding me my mom has bone on bone in her knees and she is 93 (not a surgical candidate they used this on her I had forgot) I guess I've been around too long or so much happens I just forgot, irritates me but I am so glad that I got a note to have a look at this again Thanks again lovingsonbj
