How long will the initial side effects of 200/mg of Seroquel XR last?

Hey karmc,

May want to talk to the doctor about switching you to the immediate release seroquel instead of the XR (extended release). It will still help you sleep just won't last into the next day.

Hello karmc. I once was also on seroquel. It made me gain weight, and always had a dry mouth. Since I took my dose before bedtime, the dry mouth wasn't really a issue. Most users of seroquel do put on some weight. Having said that, the drug has already been in your system for two weeks. I'd give it a week, tops, not more, then see your doctor. For theres no reason to continue to go through what you are experiencing. My thoughts... it might very well be that seroquel is not the drug meant for you. It happens. In my case there are medications that even though they work, the side-effects are not worth the end result. best to you.
