in rehab they gave some people seroquel why is this. for some reason they didnt give it to me. Of course the 40000 i spent on rehab did not work so i have turned to anabuse.
Are there other drugs that work? I'm worried about the side effects I keep hearing about. One dr. prescribed me topamax what is the deal with this isn't it an anti serzure drug?
How long until it starts working physically is it immediate? I also see seroquel advertised?

Many of the rehabs out there are just there for the money. One man I heard about, they were telling him he was stupid and dumb and could not leave the facility. Only problem was he put himself in. He finally called his old doctor and to make a long story short. He is out of the facility now. But the facility is furious. So do not expect much.
As for Seroquel. Your problem may not be the same like others. It is like thinking you were made from a cookie cutter. Never, you are special, no two people are alike. As for the Topamax it may be known as a anti seizure but it does other things too. That is the least of your worries. Have you tried Suboxone?? At least look into it. Yes, it works on drugs, but it works on other things too like alcohol.
Go to the NAABT.org web site and find a physician in your area.
I know you will make it.
One thing when you get home, have a blood test for Hypoglycemia and Diabetes. I really believe this may be your problem. If this is your problem, half your battle will be behind you when you get on the right diet. I have faith in you...
Make sure you have the tests as I suggested. I have seen many people in your position and when they had blood tested for Hypoglycemia and Diabetes, this was their problem. People with your problem crave food and sugar. Their body is unconsiciously has to correct the imbalance. You may find this will clear up your problem for good.
Keep the good work up !!

I agree with Suboxone, it may be a better treatment! Good luck!
