I "m 65 y's old man,General Surgeon, and my Coronary stented 4 Y's ago and then I was on Plavix for about 1 year,and then I have been taking 100 mg aspirin.I'm diabetic with insulin controled, also taking Amlodipine and Ramipril for Hypertension, statin drugs for hypercholesterolemia.According to an article I read, Plavix is of no use after 6 months therapy. What is your opinion? Thank-you.

My husband has been on Plavix for over 4 years. He has 4 stents & a pacemaker. According to his heart doctor he will always be on Plavix, His caroids, are bad, & so are his leg veins & arteries. He brusis very easily & bleeds terribly, but doc says can't stop or he will have major heart attack. My husband is only 60 years old too, & is a diabetic also. He takes 81mg of baby aspirin...
