Everyone is different. Treatment should continue for at least 3 to 6 weeks, and may be required for as long as 10 to 12 weeks to resolve the lesions. The raw, unsightly areas result from the destruction of defective skin cells. They are a necessary part of treatment.
Your dermatologist may recommend a moisturizer or a mild topical steroid to help the healing process.
