Vistaril is very sedating. It varies from person to person on how long that sedation lasts. On average I would guess 3-10 hours but again, that varies from person to person. It is best to take them at a time when you dont need to be alert.

It does very from person t person I have heard it can kind f comare to how you handle alcohol sme people a drink a few some can dink 12. If yu ever watched wrestling when andre the giant had surgery they asked him hw much alcohol he cnsumed before being drunk he said 2gallons. So that helped them know what kind hw much anistesha he need. So if you cmpare it to you it wuld be different I think. I also had a dr as me so its relivant. Same with seditives in pill form. It ges by weight hieght and dosage that's why they say don't drive for 24hrs. There has been people who sleep walk with them even drive while in a sedated state and rec th vehicle while they say they was sleeping so if you just started taking it give yourself time t figure out the effects for awhile before you make plans.
