I don't know the exact chemistry, but I remember reading that it had a 12- 24-hour half-life. I was concerned, due to going for a pre-employment drug screen. I came out totally clean which leads me to believe that it is metabolized pretty fast. I also had a horrible migraine the day of a drug screen and actually took a dose of it before and even at the facility I was at. That test also showed nothing. If the reason you're asking is because of a drug screen, don't worry about it.
