How long does Nitroquick remain in the system? Does it have a harmful shelf life?

Glyceryl trinitrate (nitroquick) tablets should be stored in a glass container with a foil lined cap and be discarded after 8 weeks in use. The efficacy of expired tablets is not guaranteed and if expired tablets are taken the consequences could be disastrous.
