i have recently detoxed from methadone and have a job interview with a urine test and would like to know how lonf methadone can be detected in my urine, i am not taking any other medications.

Qaz, methadone can stay in your system for 2-4weeks. Depending on the quality of the drug test. If a blood draw is done, they can detect it for about the long of time. For a regular urine test, it usually is detectable for several days. good luck with that. And congratulations for getting off of methadone. NIK

kartoon61, No, sorry!! if you smoke pot, that will just be one more problem for you. if you had a legal prescription for Methadone you shouldn't have any problems with your test. Since you are off of the medication, I wouldn't concern yourself about it. Generally speaking, a prescription is what will save you if it shows up. if you don't have one, request a blood test instead of a urine test. They are more accurate. urine test can show up positive even without using anything. Good luck with your test. NIK
