It's suppossed to start working about 30 minutes after taking it, but for me it sometimes takes up to an hour. I recently came upon a dual release form of melatonin, where half releases in about 30 minutes, and the the other half is a slow continous release over the night. The dual release seems to work alittle better for me, but hard to find.
