It all depends. Many people with genotype 2 and 3 can take it with Ribaviran for only 6 months. People with genotype 1 and 4 usually 48 weeks. I been hearing that when the drug Telaprever comes out it may bring the treatment down to 6 months for everybody. Of course we must take the Telaprever with the Interferon and Ribaviran. The Interferon and Riba are the regular standard of care for Hep C right now and most new drugs that come out will be taken with those two.
