Buspar usually takes 1-2 weeks before you really start to notice any changes. It's good that you've decided to see a therapist concerning your anxiety. Just remember to be open and honest so he/she can help you. A lot of patients like to to keep a journal and take it with them to their appointments; try keeping a log of how often you feel anxious, how long the feeling lasts, what you were doing when you became anxious, and what kind of things you dwell on that cause you to be anxious. This will help you remember when you're trying to relate specifics to the therapist and it will show him/her that you are vested in your treatment. Remember also that if you don't think the Buspar is working (you're on a pretty low dosage because 60mg/day is the max) you need to be your own advocate and tell the doctor this. He/she may want to adjust the dosage or may decide to try you on something else. Good luck!

buspar is a joke... i even had doctors and pharmacist tell me that exactly "its a joke". that said... by going thru my 2007 PDR..plasma concentration can take a week or 2 but the "supposed" benefits take a roughly a month or a little more.
get off it... ur wating ur money, time, and exercising ur liver enzymes for no good reason.
