Hernandezisa,
You should take this medication exactly as the doctor prescribed it for you. If you have trouble swallowing the tablet, it can be crushedt and mixed with small glass of milk, water, or other beverage to make swallowing easier. Do not take this medication on an empty stomach!
If you vomit within 1 hour after taking lariam, take another half dose. If your vomiting continues, call your doctor.
If you are taking this medicine to prevent malaria, take it 1 week before entering an area where malaria is common and continue taking it once a week during your stay and for at least 4 weeks after you leave. Take the medicine on the same day each weeek. If you are taking lariam to treat malaria, you should take 5 tablets at one time unless the doctor has prescribed otherwise. Although, I do not have any experience with this medication, I got this info from a doctor at our hospital who does mission work. Hope this helps.
