Due to its antiandrogen effect, spironolactone can also be used to treat hirsutism. It is also used for treating hair loss and acne in women. It is commonly used to treat symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) such as excess facial hair and acne.

The usual dose of spironolactone 100 mg to 400 mg once daily, however a doc would be the best person to give more accurate guidance, please do speak to him/her.

Take care, best wishes!
