Prometrium (progesterone) is not used to treat menopause alone.
It is given, along with estrogens, to prevent endometrial cancer in women with a uterus for menopause. If you do not have a uterus progesterone is not needed.
Estratest is used to treat menopause in patients who do not respond to estrogens used alone. It contains 2 naturally occurring hormones, an estrogen and an androgen.
The choice of HRT (hormone replacement therapy) for menopause will need to be discussed with your doctor. If you still have uterus a progestogen will need to be added to the estrogen.

I read your website link and I suppose it boils down to somehow finding a hormonal balance....... which is complicated! Like many treatments, trial and error, is the best way to find what works for you Good luck.
