I wish I could answer that question. I have not had that. I have taken the rainbow of narcotics . I am currently taking Methadone for chronic pain and it works. It doesn't make me loopy or high but it does work at controlling my pain. I just take to much. I want to get down to 40mgs a day then gradually work on getting back on 10mg a day. Good Luck..Kim
thanks for your comment i was on methadone but it mad my heart skip beats t found out i have a leaky valve . i have to becareful about what i take.
If you are going to be on opiate pain killers for life then I would suggest methadone as the way to go. There is almost no tolerance with methadone meaning you can stay at the same dose and get the same effect for years at a time. I know people who have been at the same dose for 20 years.
Opana is oxymorphone and is stronger than morphine. You run into the same problem with this drug as you do with almost all opiates and that is you get tolerent to them. This is why methadone is so useful for chronic pain suffers....Good luck....Dave

That's the same reason I got on methadone, and it did work very well for me. I had been on a clinic for heroin years ago but haven't done that in ages. It was strange to start again for a pain problem, but I was scared of getting in more trouble if I didn't. I was a very highly functional client, and I had never really planned on getting off of methadone. I do think it's good that you want to come down on your dose. Before you know it, you'll have been on there for as long as I have. Then you'll really be in trouble. I'm actually quite scared of what's in my future. Take care and think about every step you take carefully. Later, keemo7
