messageto...I have taken Rituxin with no improvement in platelet counts and Prednisone which has done a number on my weight and bones. Also had a splenectomy which kept my count up for year. My counts are now below 50 again.

"The mechanisms of action of danazol are unclear but involve impairment of macrophage-mediated clearance of antibody-coated platelets via decreased Fc
receptor expression"...
Or put a little simpler danazol reduces the ability of the body to remove platelets from the blood.
