It should say on the package how many times a day to use it. but when you do use clean the area with water and then apply the meds and wash gently and thoroughly then rinse off with water and pat dry and cover the wound like the doc said,and thats it, i do know that hiblclens is a great antimicrobial topical that really helps.hope this helps
