How do you take the drug Imdur?

It doesn't matter what time you take Imdur but please take it at the same time each day.

Take Imdur exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take it in larger amounts or for longer than recommended. Follow the directions on your prescription label.

Your doctor may occasionally change your dose to make sure you get the best results from this medication.

If possible, try to rest or stay seated when you use this medication. Imdur can cause dizziness or fainting.

Take this medication with at least 4 ounces of water or other liquid. Do not crush, chew, or break an Imdur extended-release tablet. Swallow the pill whole. Breaking the pill may cause too much of the drug to be released at one time.

I take 30mg ER Imdur 11pm before bed. Morning I wake up w/o any effects I would usually have had I taken Imdur at the day time. The systolic pressure though in the morning sometimes comes down to 57, but not for long.
