How do I taper 1 mg lorazepam taken nightly?

I have been on Lorazepam for 5 years and want to come off safely My Dr. wants to put me on zoloft and taper me that way. I don't want to be on any more meds. Any advice would be appreciated

I am also on Lorazepam and have been on for 6 years. There is a .5mg tablet that you might want to ask your doctor about. Maybe you could take that for a few days to help you ween off it. I wish you all the best.
