how do i find a dr. who treats depression and neck pain with marinol in phila. pa. 19154?

A Doctor of Neurology is cross certified in Psychiatry. I hope this gives you a glimmer of hope for your depression and neck problems.

sounds like a dr that has no compassion and just wanted to pass the buck for liability sakes. all md's can script methadone, which is heroin based in aspirin - fda schedule 2. marinol is schedule 3, the level below. the apa or american psychiatric association does not endorse marinol for the treatment of depression or any psychiatric condition - at least not yet.

suggestion? find a compassionate dr, any md can script marinol. some states restrict it's use based on state drug laws. however in many states marinol can be rx for pain management.
but im a patient, not a dr.

I have a friend who sees a pain specialist somewhere in northeast Philly, I'll find his name and info for you. You may need separate docs for depression (a psychiatrist and/or counselor) and a pain specialist for Marinol. My friend gets it prescribed. My GI doc prescribed it for me, my pain doc won't. Unfortunately Medicare won't pay for it :(
