believe it or not, prescription prices change by supply and demand. i noticed that on my prescriptions too when i didn't have insurance. however, you should be able to get the generic protonix (i do). it's called pantoprazole DR. i know they have a generic for the 40mg pill. if you're still having a problem getting your prescriptions at a decent cost, please check out www.pparx.com! it's a prescription drug assistance program that can get your meds usually free. used to help me a lot before i got insurance.
