And if allergic to to ibproferin is it safe to take?Have not had a reaction to another related drug relafin but wondering about this one.

Meloxicam and ibuprofen belong to the same class of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
They are chemically different.
Meloxicam, an oxicam derivative, is a member of the enolic acid group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
Ibuprofen is (±) – 2 – (p – isobutylphenyl) propionic acid.

My husband is taking Colcrys 0.6 MG if I gave him Relafen for inflammation would there be a problem?
My Husband has gout and his foot is inflamed so I thought the 500mg of Relafen would help. Just checking the drug interaction.
