High Cholesterol - What is the usually recommended dosage for Welchol?

Details:

I have had problems with statins like Lipitor. Inasmuch as Welchol is not a statin, how many 625 mg. per day are recommended?

Welchol Dosage and Administration

* The recommended dose is 6 tablets once daily or 3 tablets twice daily. Welchol should be taken with a meal and liquid.
