A lot of times they really dont find a reason for high blood pressure. did they at least put you on some medicine to take for your blood pressure? Often a work up for high blood pressure will consist of a 2-D Echocardiogram, and a renal ultrasound to check for defects in the heart and kidneys that could cause elevated blood pressure and blood work but in many cases they dont find anything and they just have to treat the blood pressure with medications to keep it down. 220/128 is quite high and could put you at risk for a stroke so it is important that you take medication even if you feel fine. High blood pressure or hypertension is known as "the silent killer" because it often has no symptoms. You were actually lucky that you got symptoms before you got high enough to stroke. Defintely watch your diet, try lower your salt intake (you can google the DASH diet to help you make better dietary choices for those with high blood pressure), watch your caffeine intake, drink plenty of fluids (unless your Dr tells you not to) and take your meds.
