smileyhappyHe was tired and nauseous alot.He had a low grade fever too. He would feel a wave of heat go up and down from his head to chest. We finally went to the doctor and he said it was a virus but gave me an antibiotic if he got a sore throat of cough. Well he has those now and I am giving him the antibiotic. He also is suffering from migraines and heat waves.
Has any one else had this? And if yes, when did it leave.
I feel bad for him because he has missed school so much lately. I had to pick him up again today. Thanks for any answers in advance.

Mary that was the first thught that came in my mind when I seen the post. Ill tell you what had it when I was a kid. Was tld same thing it was a virus it dragged on by the time they admitted me in the hspital it was mono & tonsilitis & pnemonia & srep throat I wanted to die. They told me the mno started it. Don't take any chanes if the antibiotic isn't at least lowering the symptoms get him back to the dr. To many things can be come of symptoms from a sore throat. They say my rheumatic fever fever was caused by it so now I have heart problems. I know how schools are about days being missed mine get 10 per sem but I let them know my child was very sick and I don't wanna spread it cause then when she got better shed goto schl and get it back because it spread from kids she prob spread it to. I keep my chidren home they need rest.

Jaime, I so agree with you. My son had it just like you when he was 17. His neck was so swollen it was wider than his whole head. It also left him sterile, so it's nothing to mess with for sure. Anytime I see these kind of questions, I always ask if they have had a mono test. Can't be too careful. My son is now in his forites & just had a rerun of mono again.Has been sick for months. Mary

I am so sorry your baby is not feeling well. It is always hard to see our children sick. My mom used to always tell me (and, found myself saying to my daughter) I would do this for you if I could!
I hope he gets better soon. I DO know what will help is your love for him. Nothing beats a mother's loving touch and care.
Take care of you also! So many times the caregiver forgets to take care of themselves when they are caring for others.
Hope he is better and happy, smiley soon! :)

Smiley I'm glad he is starting to feel better. I realize its been 12days so the antibiotic she be gone now right they usually give them a 10day script he should not be sick any longer right. So if he is please don't wait til november for him to be complety well that is over a month away from now so that'll be 2 months of sickness there can be irreversable cmplicatios within that much time if it is the crrect antibiodic is the crrect one he won't have the fever at all. Fevers are caused by infection the infection is the cause of it most f the time. I hope he is all better soon. Jaime}litlmmmag
