Hi just joined and was wondering if you take propulsid how long have you taken it and how it works?

Propulcid is used for heartburn. Are you taking it for gastroparesis? My doctor has tried many drugs for this but none seem to work for me. I take two different kinds of nausea meds every day. I have acid reflux also and I take 40mg of zegerid twice a day. This has helped my acid reflux. Does your doctor have you on anything for the gastroparesis? Do you have nausea?

Thank you for answering my question. Propulsid is was also used very successfully for gastroparesis before it was taken off the market several years ago. I have gastroparesis and take domperidone for it and it works pretty well for me. I take phenergan for the nausea every night before bed and during the day if I need it. For a long while I did not need it during the day but recently I have not sure what is going on. It I take it as a precaution I don't have the nausea. It does make me feel drug out in the mornings and it takes me awhile to feel like I have any energy. Have had gp for about 6 months now and am still figuring things out. I am drinking some ginger tea right now which helps aswell. I found this site looking up info on propulsid and saw where it said Propulsid support group so I thought there would be more people who knew about it and were taking it. You can get it in Mexico.

I wasn't much help. Do you also have diabetes? I was diagnosed about 4 1/2 years ago. Then two years later I learned I had Type 2 diabetes. They say you usually are diabetic first and then get gastroparesis. Domperidone did nothing for me. I have tried alot of different meds but none has helped. You are right the phenergran makes me tired and I also take zofran. I alternate the nausea meds. Sometimes they help and sometime they don't. I get so tired of the constant nausea. It really doesn't matter what I eat I get so sick to my stomach. Very few people understand about this condition. Its nice when you find someone who can relate. Nyla thank you for your comment I am not a diabetic. Before this I was completey healthy, I have never had any kind of illness that is why this is such a shock to me and my husband it is kind of out of the blue. I know a lot of people have other digestive issues and then get gastroparesis and I have never had any digestive problems until now. I to do not like the nausea and try to avoid it at all costs because I don't feel like eating when I feel that way and I need to eat. I know it is hard to find things to eat that are ok for diabetic and gp. I hope I got your name right if not please forgive me and thank you for your answers.
