My daughter (5) has been "diagnosed" with Overactive Bladder,as of April 2010. She has been on Ditropan since then. Im just soooo frustrated with this condition... she is starting school next year and Im so worried for her. Has anyone have a son/daughter around the same age, are you using any other medicine/herbal treatments that seem to help ?
Anyone have a child with an overactive bladder - any medicine or treatment worked for you?

my daughter is 15 & is still fighting this problem,it is very frustrating.I went to a uralogist she is fine,he put he on Desmopressin Acetate 0.2.She can't drink 2 hours before she takes the pill. Then she has to take Oxybutynin 1/2 hour later but she's older & thats what she needs.Your daughters younger she might just need 1 pill. Her doctor is John Ross of University Hospital of urolaogy. He also has another way a buzzer that goes in their panties that buzzes as soon as a drop hits the buzzer. They have that at Brunner funner supplys.Innsurances doesn't cover it & it's like 89.00.I hope i helpped.

How old was your daughter when she was diagnosed ? My daughter is on 3 quarters of a tablet atm... any more and her doc said the side affects would increase. We live in Melbourne, Australia and she attends Melbourne Childrens hospital and sees Dr Michael Harrari, in charge of the Continence Clinic there. He is a lovely man... but unfortunately there is not much they can do atm, its so hard to treat a 5 yr old ! Good luck to you and your daughter...
