... now. In the last 6 months I have tried so many different meds. They now have me on Cymbalta? Has anyone else ever tried this? Does it seem to work? There are some days where I can't sleep at night then I'm in so much pain, but I hate taking the sleep meds as you seem foggy the next day. I've been on Neurontin but DID not like that

I don't know much about your condition, but I have sleeping problems & temazapam works great. It doesn't make you tired but when you do go to sleep your able to get to sleep, stay asleep, and wake up with a clear head. Also I've heard what you have and cymbalta isn't even a controled substance. I'm on M.S Contin for a couple broken vertabrae and it works great,I think they have you on way to weak meds,I also take Nurontin and I can't see any differance good or bad. Hope it helps.
Dear Missy1969; I'm like a broken record with this ,but "systemic enzymes" taken orally on an emty stomach, and spring water ,have reduced my pain level by40%. I can't take pressure on both sides of my hips, buttocksarms. chest.Wearing a couple necklaces trigger pain in my neck and shoulders. I personally would not take cymbalta. For anti-inflammatoy action asprin and nsaids are totally intolerable for me .Fish oil krill oil, foods, herbs that can be more powerful exist. More later
Hi Missy. I also have fibromyalgia, (secondary to a rare disease called relapsing polychondritis). I am on 60 mg of Cymbalta a day for depression and for the fibromyalgia. I noticed a difference within a couple of weeks. The Cymbalta works well for the fibro. So far, it is the only thing that has helped me. I see Rhuemotoligist for my fibro and polychon- dritis. One of the Rhuem specialists told me a couple years ago that he only has a few (3 or 4) of his patients on Lyrica. He said that he does not recommend Lyrica. I forget all the reasons he said, but he did say that he did not consider it to be a "safe drug". I ran out of my Cymbalta for a week and half, and I COULD TELL THEN HOW MUCH THE CYMBALTA WORKS FOR ME.!!!! I recommend it over anything else. I couldn't wait to get back on the Cymbalta.! Try it for a MONTH or two at least, if you don't feel any better then, then you could try something else. But for me, it works great-I wouldn't switch to anything else...I also sleep much better than before. And I don't feel as achy in the morning, and the rain and cold don't seem to bother me as much. But give it a try for at least a month if not two. It does take a little time for your body to adjust to it. Kaydar
