is there any kind of over the counter type drug can take to prevent excessive sweating. i sweat on my under arms and face mostly and it drives me nuts while at work.

Anticholinergic drugs such as Robinul may be helpful - they help to prevent the stimulation of sweat glands.
Beta blockers may also help.
Both medicines require a doctors prescription.
