I just found out my girlfriend of 1yr is taking oxycodone or oxytocin?

Bro- if she is addicted- which if her dealer is trying wean her off meds- she needs to get to a dr that prescribes SUBOXONE- I have seen it saves lives- and I have seen people committ suicide right before suboxone hit the market- you have to take when you are in advanced withdrawl from narcotics pain meds or heroin- It takes away the craving and has an antagonist in it to fight off the narcotic euphoric effect and addiction properties- I am not a dr but I HAVE SEEN IT SAVE LIVES- BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY THAT- Then again- if someone is not ready- sick and tired of being sick and tired- if you take it with any narcotic in your system -[methodone included] it can send you into severe withdrawl from the narcotics.

Well i am not sure where to even start.. But firs I would like to tell you that I was in active addiction of oxycodone for almost 9 years up until this morning, and as of this morning I started the suboxone treatment. I had went to rehab a couple of years ago, quit the pills cold turkey, and after 30 days of treatment I thought I was on top of the world, and that I was "smart" enough to never touch another oxy again... Well I was wrong. I am a addict and stopped the program, and relapsed. So I am here to tell you that first of all your GF is in denial if she believes that her dealer can "help" her wean of the drug. The dealer is the LAST person we want or need to be around if we are trying to stop the drug period... I just want to tell you that suboxone so far has helped emmensly!! I went in after 36 hrs of taking any narcotic and they started me on the suboxone right there in the clinic and the withdrawals I was going through were almost gone in 20 min. Also, sense i have been on it I have had almost 0 cravings (this is another thing suboxone is supposed to help with)..So, if you could talk your GF into getting into a Suboxone prescribing Dr. it could be the thing she needs to save her life and help her get control of her life. Now, I have read that suboxone should only be taken for no more then 6 weeks or so, but my doctor told me differently today. He said first of all there is no need for me to even be thinking right now about when I should stop the sub. And if I absolutely had to be on it the rest of my life then there is nothing wrong with that either. Which made me feel alot better. BECAUSE I know my addict brain! and that means once I was to get of the suboxone it wont be long before I am going to be dabbling into the pain pills that made me feel so good but yes made my life a living nightmare... all i can tell you also is that an addict has a type of brain chemistry that is different than that of a person who has zero addiction problems. ANd quitting narcotic pain killers is the hardest thing in the world!! "to an addict"... anyway I am sorry I have rambled if there is anything else I can help with please let me know. I am happy to help other addicts or family of addicts the best way I can.
