... I stopped taking the pill 11 days ago and can not get any sleep. As I understand now I should not of been taking this pill for such a long period of time.
Please advise.

You are right it is prescribed for short term sleep problems. To be honest I think you need to have a talk with the doctor who has been prescribing this for you maybe he/she has a different care plan for you taking this medication. Good Luck with this and being someone who doesn't sleep either I hope you will soon be sleeping well real soon

i recomend looking up any medications side effects and withdrawal effects before you take them (knowing these are not garenteed however). and yes contact your doc because anything benzo's treat are the withdrawal symptoms (anxiety, seizure, insomnia, pain, memory problems, etc )
