How Zomig works is not completely understood. It appears that Zomig may reduce swelling of blood vessels around your brain that may cause migraine pain. Why would it alleviate neck pain? Most likely it wouldn't. However, being in pain often causes us to 'tense up' which can lead to muscle soreness and pain. As Zomig relieves the migraine pain, the muscles relax.
