Headache - How does fioricet compare to ultram?

I have taken fioricet/fiorinal for headaches for years. The caffeine and butalbytal work on the veins in your head and ease your stress (counteracting each other so you don't get too nervous from the caffeine) and the asp or tyl is for a lilttle pain releif. I got incredibly addicted to fiorinal - I loved it and didn't feel normal without it for a couple of years. I took ultram for a torn labrium in my shoulder - I believe it is more for a pain like an injury. That's what the Dr. said anyway but this was the same Dr. that gave me so much fiorinal I could have started a business with it. I think most Dr.s don't realize the potential for it's abuse because the ingredients sound like excedrin. It's that butalbytal that gets you and it is what gets rid of the head ache most of the time. I haven't heard of too many poeple that got like I did I just like to warn everyone because the butal.

is in the barbiturate family and when I detoxed from it it was just like hell on earth and I really was very sick. Good luck and hope you don't have too many more headaches - nothing is more horrible than a bad headache that won't go away - especially if you are working or have kids running around. You would almost take anything to get rid of it. It is an excellent drug tho.
