I have been on alot of medications in the past to try and help my pain, but all of it is just to strong, I have come back to the Lortab every time, I am lucky I got off all the other medication I have been on, but now I am stuck, I can't stop the Lortab and Zanaflex, due to pain and withdrawals, but the Lortab doesn't last through the night and I think I am having withdrawals in the middle of the night because my body NEEDS the medicine due to addiction. I would like to get off these medications and see how my pain really feels without Narcotics. I pray there is some alternative to these medicines that could allow me to live my life without such strong medicine that could cut my life short. Please help me if you can. I will take any advice I can get!

I agree with Dave totally. After you go to suboxone.com and find a dr here is a link to follow for the way I always suggest that we do the sub induction, all the way through tapering off them. It's a 6-8 week program just as Dave mentioned.
Be careful as lots of these sub drs will want you to take 16mg or more a day. I can induct you and have you totally stable feeling GREAT on usually about 6-8mg. Sometimes I'm able to induct people on as little as 2mg. I inducted a guy from France about a month ago at 1.2mg. And still so many of these sub drs insist on giving patients 16-24mg or more which is INSANE. That very low dose at induction makes the taper off them simple and you'll feel better than you've felt since high school if you follow this plan.

If I go cold turkey can you tell me how bad would it be, and how long it would last? That is what I prefer to do, I am very strong, I have stopped oxycontin, morphine, and others without any help, but I still had the Lortab to take so it wasn't to bad. I also forgot to mention that I take Xanax 4mg a day due to severe anxiety that I have had since a child, I have been on it probably 2 years now. I am sick of the meds, but I do have a legitimate reason for them, I want to find a way to live without them though. Just so you understand, I am not sure what is going on with me, I feel like I am withdrawing through the night because I haven't had any meds since 8 or 9 in the evening, I am thinking my body is that dependant now and it scares me. But I do take what is perscribed just as it is perscribed, nothing extra and I don't do any illegal drugs as well, I don't even drink alcohol at all. I don't want to ask for a perscription to take, but I don't know how dangerous it is to stop cold turkey, can you help me understand what options I have and how I should I do this?
