I would fight it.
Meloxicam is a NSAID and can have the same stomach effects as Ibuprofen, naproxen and aspirin type products. Celebrex is a COX 2 inhibitor which does a completely different thing to relieve pain. I am taking Celebrex for Fibromyalgia and it works wonderfully. I recently had an xray of my knee and they said I had arthritis. I never felt a twinge and it was news to me.
Meloxicam's highest suggested dosage is 15 mg.
