... I believe that my mother is dying as a direct result of taking the drug Femhrt and I don't know where to begin.
Has this drug, Fem HRT, ever been the topic as a "bad drug"?

What is she "dying" from? What symptoms?
I doubt that she is dying from taking femhrt. At least in the way it seems like you are describing it. It sounds like something is progressively getting worse, again I cannot comment on anything with out knowing whats going on
To respond to is Femhrt a topic as a bad drug?
Yes and no. Femhrt itself has not been directly identified as a controversial drug. However, hormone replacement therapy has been a topic of discussion of the last several years. To make a long story short there is a benefit to taking hormones for menopause but there is also a risk.

My mother has blood clots in her legs. The doctor said there are so many that there isn't any space in between them. She has blood clots in her lungs as well. The doctors have said that since she developed all of the clots they damaged her lungs. She is now suffering from Congestive Heart Failure, Asthma, COPD and Emphysema. She is a non-smoker. She is 56 years old. The only health issue shes every had was RA and she suffers from PTSD. None of these issues surfaced until she started taking Fem Hrt. Do you think that maybe she is just in the 1% of women that develop the severe side effects from taking this drug?
Also when I use the word "dying" her life has become such a balancing act. She uses Lasix to try and relieve the fluid, yet sometimes she goes into dehydrated renal failure. She is basically a ticking time bomb. I am scared and so is she. I hope I am making sense.
Well, your information is very helpful.
In my opinion, your mom should not be on FemHRT currently, I hope she is off of it now. Especially, if she is taking it for menopause.
The FemHRT could have caused some of these issues. To quote Micromedex a drug information site for Health Care Professionals "Increased risks of myocardial infarction, stroke, invasive breast cancer, pulmonary emboli, and deep vein thrombosis in postmenopausal women have been reported ." If you would like more information I would recommend looking up the Women's Health Initiative.
That being said, the patients with low risks are patients at your mothers age.
Some other thoughts RA is considered a risk equivalent in terms of cardiovascular disease. This could have play some role in everything. Also, considering how many clots your mother has, I wonder if she has a genetic prothrombotic state, meaning she is more likely to clot.

I hope everything works out and these clotting issue resolve.

In regards to the second comment - that is a very common back and for we see in patients with edema/kidney disease. Jumping back and forth, unfortunately there isn't much I can offer for that. The only thing that is very important is to make sure she isn't taking any NSAID's which are used for pain and fever- Advil/Motrin (Ibuprofen), Aleve (Naproxen) - there are many others as well.
Considering your mother's heart issues and kidney issued NSAID's can make things worse.
