Has Tagamet been known to help treat mono?

No, Tagamet has not been known to treat mononucleosis.

my family doctor gave my son tagamet for mono. he stated that it works... it is not known why, but it does. I have also taken tagamet for various other things that affet the immune system (alergic reactions).
