I am assuming that you are using it for afib. You will probably appreciate that you will not have to do blood testing any more however, if you are active and prone to getting injuried you need to remember that there is no reversal agent for Xarelto. Thought I have not taken Xarelto, I have taken Pradaxa. It appears from the clincial trials that Xarelto may work better than Pradaxa and have fewer side effects. Only time will tell for both of these drugs. Right now Pradaxa is doing a lot more advertising than Xarelto so they appear to have more market share. You could always switch to Arixtra or Lovenox if you want to stop taking the Warfarin, if you don't mind giving yourself injections. There is a generic for Arixtra and Lovenox, but I would not use the generic Lovenox.
